ELDER DOCTOR NICOLE CROOKS

Nicole Crooks joined New Light Baptist Community Church in June 1996 and was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in March 2006. She is a member of the Pastoral Staff and ministers to our community churches in preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Elder Crooks graduated from Freedom Bible College and Seminary with a Doctorate of Theology in June 2012. In May 2015 Elder Doctor Crooks received a Master’s in School Leadership from the College of Saint Elizabeth and her Doctorate in School Leadership in, May of 2022.

Elder. Dr. Crooks is actively involved in various ministries. She is the Director of the Adonai Worship Dance Ministry where she teaches dancers how to worship and praise God from their hearts and how to live a life that is pleasing to God. Her desire is not to be seen but that God will be glorified in the dance so that as the dancers minister blinded eyes will be opened, the dumb will speak, the deaf will hear, the lame will walk and the people of God will become whole. Elder. Dr. Crooks is also the Superintendent of Sunday School and currently teaches the adult class.

Elder. Dr. Crooks has passions outside her church. She is a part of the Shachah International Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Michael and Margaret Yap. In this ministry Elder. Dr. Crooks is training others how to take back what the enemy has stolen in the area of creative arts. She travels and trains others during dance seminars in the states and other countries how to use flags, tambourines, streamers and many other instruments for the glory and honor of the Lord.

Elder. Dr. Crooks is the founder of the Queen Esther’s Court Ministry. This ministry had been birthed with the desire to see the people of God completely whole. She loves to minister the Word and encourage others to rise above their circumstances, to step out in faith and to trust God because He will and can take care of us. Elder. Dr. Crooks has been a Special Education Teacher has worked as a special education teacher and a special education administrator locally. In recognition of her compassion for her students, Elder. Dr. Crooks was chosen to receive the Governor’s Recognition for Teacher of the Year Award in March 2013.

On November 19 th , 2016 Min. Dr. Crooks was Ordained into the Ministry of the Gospel. Elder. Dr. Crooks is a preacher, teacher, intercessor and worshiper. She has been anointed by God and called for “such a time as this.” Elder. Dr. Crooks’ favorite scripture is the entire Psalm 34, “ I will bless the Lord at all times, His Praise shall continually be in my mouth (verse 1).”
